IR fisheye camera from Hikvision
Hikvision
is set to reveal its latest
addition to the company's portfo-
lio the DS-2CD6362F-I(S)(V)
6M IR fisheye network camera.
This 6M IR fisheye features a
1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS
sensor to provide high-resolution
images of up-to 3072 x 2048, 30
frames-per-second, and a 1.19 mm
fisheye lens for a 360° panoramic
view.
A 3M model of the WDR fish-
eye network camera is also avail-
able the DS-2CD6332FWD-I(S)
(V). This 3M model features a
1/3" progressive scan CMOS sen-
sor, 120 dB WDR (wide dynamic
range), and streams video of up-to
1536 x 1536 resolution at 30 fps.
It's all about seeing more with
just one camera than with multiple
cameras. Case in point, a single
6M/3M IR fisheye network camera
does the work of multiple cameras
in both indoor and outdoor surveil-
lance environments. Hikvision's
fisheye is designed to capture
images from every corner of a par-
ticular location and eliminate blind
spots with only its single camera.
Both models are equipped with
IR functionality, offering up-to
15m IR distance of visibility under
low or even zero-light conditions.
Features such as these make both
fisheyes a great choice for detailed
coverage of wide, open areas like
airports, shopping malls, parking
lots, retail stores, offices, restau-
rants, classrooms, and more. Fur-
thermore, a state-of-the-art housing
unit and IP66 rating protect the
camera against outdoor elements
like rain and dust, and allows it to
confidently withstand temperatures
ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
The 6M/3M IR fisheye
network camera supports multi-
display (several viewing) modes,
including the aforementioned
360° overview (in 6 megapixel
resolution and 3 megapixel resolu-
tion, respectively), a horizontal
panoramic view, PTZ quad
window, and PTZ multi-window
modes. Customers can also utilise
this smooth PTZ functionality
to easily zoom, and focus, on any
region of interest (ROI).
Multiple streaming MJPEG
and H.264 video compression
formats are supported. Addition-
ally, these cameras feature multiple
H.264 compression profiles, allow-
ing users to optimise bandwidth
and storage without compromising
image quality. Furthermore, sup-
porting ONVIF, PSIA, and CGI
standards, both fisheye models offer
the ability to easily integrate with
other video surveillance equipment
and systems.
Other features include a built-
in micro SD/SDXC slot (with a
total capacity of up-to 64Gb), a
DI/DO interface to connect to
alarm devices for further security
control purposes, and an inbuilt
high-quality audio intercom that
allows two-way communication.
To further benefit the users,
Hikvision has launched a fisheye
camera and IP PTZ dome camera
combo which elegantly provides a
panoramic's 360° surround view
while offering the capability for a
detailed regional view from a speed
dome; a solution designed to moni-
tor wide areas in the
great detail.

Raytec illuminators with PoE
Winner of the `Ifsec Best CCTV
System of the Year', Raytec's range
of Vario network illuminators has
now been extended to include PoE
capability and 4 new model sizes
in both infrared and white light.
PoE capability allows for a
much quicker and more cost effec-
tive lighting installation. Vario IP
PoE illuminators can be easily in-
tegrated onto an existing network
infrastructure, with no local mains
connections or special electrical
labour required.
Operated via an integrated
web interface or VMS, Vario IP
PoE allows for quick and easy
remote set up, commissioning,
operation and maintenance of the
lighting scheme from anywhere
on the network 24/7. Users have
full control over their lighting at
all times to respond to live events
in real time, triggering lighting
to deter crime, or altering light
settings in response to operational
changes for the best CCTV images
and safety at all times.
An API is available for seamless
VMS integration, allowing quick
and easy operation of the lighting
within an overall security system.
A new HTTP API is also coming
soon to allow for IP lighting via
simple HTTP commands.
Vario IP PoE can be controlled
individually or in groups and
triggered on demand via a vari-
ety of other network devices e.g.
cameras/detectors, and scheduled
using a timer for activation only
when needed, to reduce electrical
consumption even further.
The Vario family of illuminators
claims a number of industry firsts
including Vario IP PoE the first
ever CCTV illuminator to integrate
into a VMS, and it is now further
strengthened with the addition of
new specialist solutions such as
Vario Hybrid, Vario Lighthouse
Kit and Vario D-Zoom.

Direct IP integrates with Immix
Idis
has completed the integra-
tion between its total surveillance
offering, Direct IP and Sureview's
Immix CS/CC video centric alarm
monitoring platform, which corre-
lates and manages unlimited video
and other security systems alarms
into a single unified platform.
Idis customers can now harness
the power and high-performance
of Direct IP surveillance through
their partner alarm receiving cen-
tres, central stations or in-house
command centres.
The integration enables es-
sential Direct IP video surveil-
lance features from the Immix
platform, including live view
with multi-layout, playback,
two-way audio with remote alarm
notification and instant video
verification.
Brian Song, Managing Direc-
tor, Idis Europe, commented, "We
are committed to ensuring Direct
IP customers realise industry-
leading performance together
with a low cost of ownership. The
integration with Immix achieves
this by allowing for a more cost
effective and streamlined approach
to managing and monitoring
multiple security alarms through
one user interface.
"In addition, with the Immix
platform deploying across an
increasing number of alarm receiv-
ing and remote monitoring cen-
tres, customers can now migrate to
Direct IP surveillance and benefit
from industry-leading HD quality
video in the control room."
Chris Eckersley, Sales Director
at Sureview, added, "The integra-
tion with Direct IP demonstrates
our commitment to offering our
customers the most innovative
and powerful technologies in the
market. Direct IP offers industry-
leading full-HD performance
delivering tangible benefits to a
wide range of businesses."
