Assa Abloy
has signed an
agreement to acquire the locks
and hardware business under
the Enox brand from Pooja
Hardware, one of the market
leaders in India.
"I am very pleased that
Enox is joining the Assa Abloy

first major entry into the
large and fast growing Indian

important building block in
our strategy to grow market
presence in emerging markets",
says Johan Molin, President
and CEO of Assa Abloy.
"Enox is a great addition
to the Asia Pacific division.
The acquisition adds compli-
mentary business channels

HID and Assa Abloy help secure access in Brazil
HID Global
access control
products, along with door-opening
solutions from parent company
Assa Abloy, were used in various so-
lutions across six of the 12 stadiums
in Brazil whilst hosting the 2014
FIFA World Cup football matches.
"We are very excited to have
been playing such an important
role in protecting the safety and
security of the fans, players and
staff during this year's FIFA
championship matches," said
Gustavo Gassmann, Sales Director,
Brazil with HID Global. "Securing
large-scale outdoor sporting ven-
ues is one of the industry's most
difficult security challenges, but
HID Global and Assa Abloy have
extensive experience in this area.
Working with our local integration
partners, we have delivered secure
solutions that are designed to
provide robust protection for the
people, equipment and infrastruc-
ture at these World Cup venues."
HID Global and Assa Abloy
products were being used at new
stadiums in Fortaleza, Natal,
Recife, Curitiba, and Brasilia, as
well as at the legendary Maracanã
Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, which
hosted the World Cup final on July
13 and will be hosting both the
opening and closing ceremonies
for the 2016 Olympics. The two
companies' products have also been
recently deployed at the Arena do
Grêmio in Porto Alegre and the
Allianz Parque (formerly the Arena
Palestra Itália) in Sao Paulo.
Dahua awarded for Intelligent Traffic Surveillance
The Dahua Technology 3.0
megapixel intelligent video spot
detector (DH-ITC304) has been
awarded with the ITS Golden
Lion at ITS 2014. Following
on from this, Dahua Technology
continued with its winning ways
by also being included in the
"China Top 30 ITS Brands" and
the "China ITS Recommendation
Brand" for a third time.
ITS 2014, held from 10th to
12th June in Shenzhen, China,
presented some highlights of
advanced technical equipment and
overall integration platforms for
intelligent transportation as well as
system integration both at home
and abroad.
The Dahua 3.0 megapixel
intelligent video spot detector
(DH-ITC304) utilises a super
low illumination sensor, which is
designed to be perfectly suitable
for working in dark or badly lit
environments, and its built-in
high performance processor satis-
fies the requirements for parking
spot detection applications, vehicle
recognition and other intelligent
functions without any additional
processing devices. One single
DH-ITC304 spot detector is able
to detect three standard parking
spaces at the same time, which
greatly increases efficiency.
The device is Wifi or SD card
optional, which means that it
can cooperate with the all-in-one
camera for parking guidance and
card finding systems when it has
access to the internet. Moreover,
the seven-colour light indicator
is an additional service to clients
allowing them to easily find the
location of a vacant spot.
"Dahua Technology is not only
a world leader in video surveillance,
and actually, we started our intel-
ligent traffic business from 2006,"
said Bill Zhou, Senior ITS Engineer
at Dahua Technology. "Being
backed up with sound company
strength, Dahua ITS solutions
and products have a lead on easy
installation, configuration and
integration with multiple functions
provided such as video and image
collecting, license plate recognition,
rule violation analytics etc., this
award is proof of this point."
