Alarms
· The Advanceguard AGS1600
Extreme provides a wide area
detection and tracking system. It
uses a high frequency radar to scan
the area and advanced tracking
algorithms to follow intruders. Ad-
vanceguard operates in all weather
and light conditions and can detect
a variety of targets including peo-
ple, vehicles or boats over water.

Dualcom Calibre.
· The Dualcom Calibre range
utilises GPRS, IP or telephone
paths to send intruder, fire and
personal attack signals at high
speed via CSL Dualcom's Gemini
Managed Network to an alarm
receiving centre. Single and dual
path signalling options are avail-
able. And contact ID and SIA
formats will provide high accuracy.
The multi-network Worldsim
comes as standard meaning that it
is operator free further reducing
line faults.

FC-series S.
· At Ifsec Flir launched their new
FC-series S ­ a series of thermal
cameras that according to the
company are better than before
even though it comes with a
lower price. Series S is Flirīs entry
model and it has been equipped
with a new aluminium seal and a
more compact format. Flir are so
sure of the cameraīs quality that
they come with a 10 year sensor
guarantee. The camera can handle
temperatures of minus 50 degrees
Celsius to plus 75 degrees. The
PoE camera has Flirīs unique
DDE technology (digital detail
enhancement) that increases con-
trast and detection distance.
Access control
Aperio Pinpad.
· The Aperio Pinpad device from
Assa Abloy
provides wireless multi-
level door security and can be used
wherever doors are to be secured
by multi-level authentication. The
wireless Pinpad escutcheon allows
access to rooms simply by entering
a PIN, via a card reader or with
a combination of both. Depend-
ing on the integration level of the
device, a silent hold-up alarm can
be triggered in the security centre
if, in a dangerous situation, the
user enters the attack code instead
of his own PIN. The Aperio Pinpad
escutcheon is available for conven-
tional RFID technologies: Iclass,
Mifare classic/plus and Mifare
Desfire as well as for existing 125
kHz access control systems based
on HID Prox or EM410x.
