Simonsvoss launches Smarthandle 3062 digital escutcheon
Munich, Germany
The Smarthandle 3062 from
Simonsvoss
in Germany is a new
door fitting, developed to satisfy
the special requirements of the
hospitality industry, retirement
homes and high end properties.
The unique principle of the
Smarthandle 3062 is that it
communicates wirelessly with
the identification media in the
digital locking and access control
system 3060 and controls where
and when up to 64,000 users are
granted access. What's more, it can
operate online or be integrated
in a G2-based virtual Simonsvoss
network.
Simonsvoss also enters new
standards territory with extended
battery replacement cycles. The
battery only needs to be changed
every 10 years. Integrated button
cells provide the power for up to
150, 000 operations.
Another unique highlight of
the digital door fitting 3062 is
that it can be installed quickly and
easily without wiring and without
having to drill holes in doors. The
assembly process therefore means
simply fastening the fitting with
just one screw for a permanent,
sturdy installation. This is another
principle for which Simonsvoss
has applied for a patent.
The second model in this series
is the Digital Smarthandle 3062
SC. In this case the SC means that
the digital Smarthandle has a dual
function, as this model not only
delivers the convenience of the
active variant, but allows you to
use passive cards too. This is made
possible via its integrated RFID
reader, which can read smart
cards based on Mifare Classic and
Mifare Desfire standards.
Indigovision releases Enhanced HD camera line
Edinburgh, UK
Indigovision is launching its new
Enhanced high definition (HD)
camera range, incorporating the
latest camera sensor and processor
technology, designed to deliver
both stunning HD video and ad-
vanced camera intelligence while
reducing total security project costs.
IndigoVision's Enhanced
HD cameras feature the latest
1/2.7"camera sensor technol-
ogy aimed at providing amazing
HD picture detail and clarity.
Combined with dual pixel wide
dynamic range (WDR) and a me-
chanical IR cut filter, high image
quality is still delivered even under
challenging lighting conditions.
Indigovision's unique dual proces-
sor technology has been upgraded
with the latest field programmable
gate array (FPGA) and ARM
processors, this means stunning
HD video quality at dramatically
lower network bandwidth, result-
ing in reduced video storage costs
and HD video that is easier to
distribute over networks.
Indigovision's dual processor
technology also delivers intel-
ligence. Superior camera features
include; advanced analytics such
as virtual tripwire and counterflow
detection, robust security through
a Linux firewall and no require-
ment for a central management
server, thanks to Indigovision's
distributed network architecture
(DNA) solution design. By using
an FPGA processor, the Enhanced
HD camera range features can be
further improved with firmware
upgrades, future-proofing camera
investment. This design approach
has resulted with Indigovision's
cameras being deployed for
demanding projects such as five
Olympic Games and multiple G8
Summits.
Honeywell Notifier integrates with Nedap AEOS
Groenlo, The Netherlands
Nedap
now offers integration
of the Notifier fire alarm system
within its web based security man-
agement platform AEOS.
All statuses of fire control panels
are shown in AEOS so all relevant
functionality can be handled from
one web based application. The
integration is beneficial because it
enables users to react faster. For
example in the case of a fire alarm,
the location will be automati-
cally shown in the AEOS graphical
alarm handler. The relevant camera
will immediately pop-up so users
can see real-time footage and details
of who has entered and left the
specific area. This enables users to
make fast, accurate decisions about
what action to take.
In addition this new integra-
tion allows for automatic responses
to events and AEOS allows users
to design customised responses to
scenarios enabling them to plan
carefully for incidents before they
happen. So in a panic situation the
user can activate the appropriate,
pre-defined settings with just one
button, maintaining the relevant
policy in case of fire.
Airlive introduces home mobile viewing solution
Taipei, Taiwan
Airlive
is introducing a cloud
viewing home solution called
the Airlive Campro Mobile, de-
signed to support home security
cameras, allowing users to view
multiple Airlive home security
cameras using an Iphone or
Ipad and soon also for use with
Android devices.
This means that the Airlive IP
solution is now fully supported
with easily available remote-view-
ing via mobile devices with iOS
and Android. The user can easily
download the Airlive Campro Mo-
bile for Apple at the App store or
Android on Google Play(coming

are installed. Software-equipped
Airlive home IP cameras focus on
simple installation and operation
for users. So, Airlive offers a real
plug-and-play installation just
allowing the camera(s) and mobile
device link to the network, then
the Airlive Campro Mobile App
will help to sort and link the in-
stalled camera(s) with the mobile
device(s) in a few moments. The
surveillance system will be in oper-
ation without complicated settings
and the many parameters usually
associated with set up. In addition,
Airlive's IP cameras are offered
with the Campro Express software
utility that enables the detection
and management of the network
involved Airlive camera. As well,
of course, it supports viewing and
storage of video from connected
devices for up to 64 channels.
