To cater for the 56 per cent of IFSEC
International's installer audience located across
the whole of the UK, UBM Live has arranged
exclusively discounted rates with transport,
accommodation and entertainment provid-
ers in the Capital. Michael Greaves, Manag-
ing Director from northern based Keyways
Security Systems said: "Ifsec International is
the major purchasing event in our year. It is a
common forum for manufacturers, designers
and installers to trade ideas, experience and
contacts. London is a natural home for such
an exhibition and I look forward to travelling
down from Manchester to attend."
Four pillars
By understanding the whole buying chain,
Ifsec International works closely with exclusive
industry partner BSIA, as well as, NSI, SSAIB,
ASIS, Security Institute, FIA, ASFP and
UKTI, to ensure four key pillars are delivered
in London:
Commitment to installer visitors
The launch of Security Installer Live will open
a breadth of opportunity for installers from
both around the UK and from International
markets.
Commitment to end user visitors
Ifsec International will continue to create
a targeted approach to ensure visitors fully
understand what is on offer and how they can
utilise their time most effectively, attracting
business leaders across the IT, Retail, Finance
and Transport sectors and many more.
Increasing international audience
With 32 per cent of visitors already attending
from overseas, Ifsec International will broaden
the opportunities for international buyers by
moving to the capital. Being at the epicentre of
one of the most sophisticated travel networks
in the world and Excel London will make the
event attainable by more visitors than ever
before.
Increased multi-show cross pollination
ExceL being a purposed built exhibition
venue will allow for improved cross pollina-
tion of visitors between all five events, Ifsec,
Firex, Facilities show, Safety and health expo
and Energy expo adding more value to visitor
participation.
"Ifsec International 2014 will move to the
next level and provide an even richer busi-
ness experience for exhibitors, visitor groups
and delegates, with both the UK and global
security markets further benefitting from the
move to London. These provide real business
leads and development opportunities, essen-
tially helping all sectors in the security and fire
industries build their business. We all recognise
the importance of integrating with one another
and Ifsec is the best place for this to happen"
Cracknell says. n
achieve our objectives and assist in our con-
tinued expansion." Adding to this, Jason Hill,
Group Vice President, Merit Lilin UK Ltd
confirmed: "It is extremely important for us to
meet the right target audience when we attend
events and with Ifsec International's move to
London, we believe this is the only platform to
showcase our full range of products."
Nine areas
Catering for the entire buying chain, Ifsec
International will give the market what it
wants through dedicated theatres for end-user
and trade education plus, case studies and
nine dedicated product areas, these include:
access control, integrated security solutions,
intelligent buildings, intruder alarms, IT &
cyber security, perimeter protection, physical
security, safe cities and video surveillance.
Brand new for 2014, Security & Fire
Installer Live will be a dedicated installer
offering in the UK located on the show floor
at Ifsec International. Catering for security
and fire installation companies, this will be
the go to destination to source the latest tools,
products and experience insightful training
sessions.
First timers
Gearing up for the relocation to London, the
business hub of the UK, research demonstrates
that there will be an increase in high calibre
first time visitors to the show, as the new venue
will make it more accessible to visit. Follow-
ing the announcement of Ifsec International
relocating to London in 2014, a resounding 75
per cent of the audience said they will be able
to travel to London quicker than it would take
to arrive in Birmingham. Research has proved
that relocating to London will also attract a
new audience from the south of England who
have not previously attended the event in
Birmingham.
Located within close proximity to national
rail stations, the London underground network
and London city airport, Ifsec International
will be easily accessible from across the UK and
Europe. Exclusive deals have been put in place
with transport and accommodation providers
that are available to all exhibitors and visitors
attending Ifsec International in June.
Important show
Charlie Cracknell, event director, Ifsec
International said: "Businesses from across
the whole security buying chain recognise the
importance of being present at Ifsec Interna-
tional. We look forward to continuing to pre-
sent an arena where the security industry can
attend and conduct business in a reputable
environment. We are well ahead of the game
and continue to make preparations for 2014
to be the best edition of Ifsec International
that has been seen before. Plans are constantly
developing and we continue to introduce
exciting new features".
