days and made activities available
for all visitors.
It was really good, not least,
thanks to a very good programme
that our partners had worked out.
Should be fun to try to develop
the concept further, expressed
Magnus Eriksson.
Minister of Justice
joined the event
The Swedish Security Trade
Industry Organisation (Säkerhets-
branschen) was really pleased with
the response to their activities at
the exhibition, both as a seminar
organiser and an exhibitor.
We have had many visitors
this year, and also the party at our
stand after the second day of the
fair was incredibly well attended
and appreciated by our members,
says Lennart Person, the project
manager for the security trade
organisation's activities at Skydd.
We were also honoured by a
visit from the new Swedish Minis-
ter of Justice, Morgan Johansson,
who received an award by the
publication SecurityUser.com on
our stage. He was also present
during the Detektor International
Award prize ceremony that also
took place on our stage.
In hard numbers the four
seminar stages at Skydd attracted
3,418 attendees, which is far more
than the number of seminar par-
ticipants at the Skydd event two
years go. n
We were a little hesitant to
participate this time, but it turned
out really well. We've had lots of
interesting visitors to our booth.
It feels like a real reawakening
of the Skydd event, claims Uno
Lundberg, Vice President of the
Building Division Security at
Schneider Electric Sweden.
World leader in network video,
Axis Communications, also had
plenty of traffic on their stand.
 In terms of incoming leads,
there has been a great improvement
on 2012 and we are very pleased
with the fair this year, says Kristina
Tullberg, PR Specialist at Axis.
Success for
new seminar concept
This year the seminars were moved
out from separate locations in
the International Stockholm Fair
building complex to the exhibi-
tion floor. Four stages presented
seminars and panel discussions
throughout the three exhibition
This time Skydd was
shortened from a 4 day
event to three days, which was
welcomed by the exhibitors and
resulted in a better every day visi-
tor flow compared to the previous
event two years ago.
More than 4,000
visitors per day
In 2012 Skydd attracted 13,906
visitors over the four days, which
meant an average of 3,476 visitors
on a daily basis. This year 12,253
visitors attended and the average
number of security trade visitors
per day was 4,084, an increase of
more than 600 people per day.
 We are very pleased with
the visitor figures, says Magnus
Eriksson.
High satisfaction
among exhibitors
Exhibiting companies also testi-
fied to a high level of customer
satisfaction from the show.
Success for Skydd in Stockholm
Apart from their IP-video surveillance products Axis attracted visitors through the launch of their first access control product, the world´s first non-proprietary IP-based door
controller.
SimonsVoss was present at Skydd to
exhibit their portfolio of access control
products.
Dahua exhibited to demonstrate their
wide range of video surveillance products.
Jablotron displayed their range of alarm
products at the exhibition in Stockholm.
Ricky Mei, Nordic Regional Manager
for Dahua Technology met up with Aris
Balian, Managing Director for the new
Dahua-distributor Paradox Security.
