Indigovision Eagle ready for take-off
Edinburgh, UK
Indigovision
is introducing the
new Control Center Eagle designed
with a revolutionary user interface,
advanced motion search technol-
ogy, real time alarm tracking and
"client licence-free" installation.
Indigovision launched the
original Control Center in 2002.
According Paul Murphy, Indigovi-
sion Head of Marketing, it was
the first truly scalable VMS.
Innovative features included live,
playback and administration in a
single user interface and intuitive
software PTZ control.
"As Control Center was first re-
leased eleven years ago, we wanted
to highlight this technological
pedigree and also the intelligent
engineering carried out by the In-
digovision software design teams.
It seemed only fitting that this
latest version of Control Center be
named after the legendary Apollo
11 lunar landing module Eagle,"
states Paul Murphy.
"Ever since Control Center hit
the market in 2002, Indigovision's
focus has always been on helping
security operators to carry out
their duties as easily and efficiently
as possible," explains Alex Swan-
son, Indigovision's Head of Engi-
neering, "For example, our highly
intuitive interface allows operators
to simply click on an area on the
map and Control Center's intel-
ligence instantly knows what cam-
eras cover that location, meaning
operators need not worry about
memorising camera names."
Control Center Eagle contains
a number of additional features
designed to make installation,
maintenance and operation of
security systems extremely easy.
Indigovision's advanced motion
search algorithms and motion
thumbnail technology allows op-
erators to find the right evidence
quicker than any other VMS.
Third party systems, such as access
control, perimeter detection and
building management systems
can be seamlessly incorporated to
give advanced and fully integrated
video and alarm management.
Control Center Eagle has in-
built ONVIF IP camera support,
supports over 300 non-ONVIF IP
camera models through Indigovi-
sion's Camera Gateway and has
complete support for all Indigo-
vision IP cameras and analogue
encoders released since 2003.
Indigovision's unrivalled Soft-
ware Upgrade Plan (SUP) means
any Indigovision customer with an
active SUP agreement has access
to the latest version of Control
Center, with future releases Con-
trol Center Intrepid and Control
Center Aquarius scheduled for
release in 2014 and 2015.
World's first illuminators to intregrate with VMS
Ashington, Northumberland (UK)
Raytec
have completed an inte-
gration project with Milestone's
Xprotect video management
system. Their new range of Vario
IP network illuminators is the
first range of CCTV illuminators
in the world ever to be integrated
into a video management system.
The new integration allows
the highest level of flexibility,
management and control over
your lighting in conjunction with
all other network technologies in
your security system, from one
central platform.
The integration is made pos-
sible via Raytec Milestone plug-in
software, available free of charge
from the Raytec website via an
online request form.
Controlled individually or in
groups, Raytec network illumina-
tors can be easily configured using
the Milestone Management Ap-
plication, to create a smart system
designed to provide event driven
lighting triggered by alarms from a
camera, detector or other network
device. Such illumination on
demand e.g. on detection of a sub-
ject, is highly effective at deterring
crime and reducing the system's
running cost and environmental
impact. The same illuminator can
also provide a safe and well lit area
for pedestrians or workers.
Users can also take instant
manual control of any single il-
luminator or group of illuminators
using the Milestone Smart Client,
during day to day operation.
Advanced settings allow for user
defined lighting design to meet
the requirements of any installa-
tion. Settings include individual or
group control, power control from
20-100%, power boost control for
120% power for 20 seconds and
advanced timer functions. Users
are also able to configure event
driven lighting triggered via an
alarm from 3rd party devices and
override and take instant manual
control of lighting at any time.
There is also a deterrent feature
with selectable patterns and speeds,
and illuminators can be assigned
names and group names. The
integration also allows for the illu-
minator auxiliary output to be used
to trigger 3rd party devices.
