Oncam acquires Grandeye
Security solutions provider
Oncam Globa
l has taken full
ownership of Grandeye, the
360-degree innovator. To reflect
the importance of the acquisition
the combined company will now
be known as Oncam Grandeye.
Oncam Global has acquired
the remaining 51 percent of
shares from Creative Techno-
logy, to take full control of the
imaging technology specialist and
to respond to the growing de-
mand for its 360-degree security
solutions.
Oncam Global Group was
founded in 2007 and is headquar-
tered in Switzerland with regional
offices in, the UK, US, Turkey,
Iraq and the Middle East. The
cornerstone of the Oncam security
solution is a process that enables
video surveillance, acquisition,
tracking and interrogation of
`suspicious' behaviour enabling the
verification of a potential threat.
This in-turn provides the neces-
sary intelligence needed to make a
measured response to any critical
situation.
Grandeye will now be fully
integrated as Oncam Global's
technology and engineering arm,
providing a suite of 360-degree
technology for security and liabil-
ity protection applications.
Ahmed Jawad, Executive
Chairman of Oncam Global
Group, says the deal will allow
the business to take control of the
360-degree development market
across the security and commercial
sectors.
"With the global video surveil-
lance market predicted to grow
by more than 12 percent in 2012,
it is vital that we are positioned
effectively to continue our leader-
ship in 360 degree technology and
exploit new growth opportunities
across the market place," claims
Ahmed Jawad and adds:
"Taking full control of
Grandeye will enable us to do
this, ensuring that we are geared
towards delivering the next genera-
tion of 360 technology, as well as
being positioned to take forward
exciting technology deployment
partnerships."

EMEA territory, and maintained
its position as the world's second

tinued year on year growth trend
with a 74 percent overall revenue
increase for its VMS business
between 2009 and 2011.
In its report, IMS also forecasts
that the world market for video
